I have been teaching voice/Piano since 1985
My Teaching Philosophy:

Learning music is and should be exciting and fun!!

I truly believe that all ages can learn to sing and play the piano from elementary, mid/high school, college, and adults.

Everyone learns differently and I don't teach any two people the same way. I want you to get the most out of your lessons and I believe that you will improve and become great at the music you are drawn to.

I want to teach my students to become confident in their skills and abilities and then provide them with opportunities to shine.

My goal is to be a Teacher/Coach/Friend

Give each student the confidence to improve and perform
Incorporate Music theory and technique into lessons
To get the "most" out of each student
To make each student's skills better than when they came into my program
To help each student know that "success" is defined by how well you participate NOT if you're the BEST!!
Teach each student to accurately and thoroughly read music
Encourage students to explore their own unique gifts for musical expression.
Develop a love for music through lessons taught with patience and understanding.
Promote the "life skill" habit of practice and seeking to increase skills and abilities.
Provide positive reinforcement as each student learns new vocal or piano pieces.
